PT Indo Artha Marine accompanied the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali, and his delegation on a two-day official visit to Germany’s leading defense manufacturers, Rheinmetall and Euroatlas GmbH. The visit began on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, with meetings at the Rheinmetall headquarters and the Euroatlas office in Bremen.
The Indonesian delegation received a warm reception from the top management of both companies and their industry partners. Throughout the visit, the delegation was briefed on the latest advancements in Defense and Security Equipment (Alpalhankam) production, as well as potential cooperation opportunities aimed at strengthening Indonesia’s defense capabilities.
During the first day, the delegation toured several state-of-the-art training and simulation facilities, including the Submarine Control Simulation, Submarine Command Team Training systems, the Action Speed Tactical Trainer for naval warfare officers, and an innovative AUV operational-concept simulator showcased in the Navy Demo Room. The group also observed a live demonstration of the Seasnake 30mm naval gun.
On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, the visit continued with a direct observation of the sea trial for the “Greyshark” Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV). The German-made AUV is designed to undertake a wide range of missions, including ISR, Mine Countermeasures (MCM), Critical Underwater Infrastructure (CUI) monitoring, and anti-ship operations. Equipped with artificial intelligence, the Greyshark offers an impressive operational endurance of up to 16 weeks.
This visit highlights Indonesia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen naval capabilities through international collaboration and advanced maritime defense technologies.
